Text Effect Tutorial for Photoshop CS
|
|
 |
We start with a simple layer text in
Photoshop CS. Make right click on the text layer and
choice "Rasterize Layer" so you can modify
later. |
| |
 |
Ok, lets go with a gradient like this
one. (I assume you know how to do selections). |
| |
 |
Now duplicate the layer and move
it down as far as you want and change the color of
the whole text to a medium gray.
|
| |
 |
Notice I use the burn tool to make some
shadows at the top of this second layer. |
| |
 |
Now I used the dodge tool to make some
highlights at the botton second layer. |
| |
 |
Make a selection around this 2 text
layers. (Shortcut: ctrl+click on the layer to select
it and ctrl+shift+click on the other layer to add
this layer to the selection.
Add a third layer and place it at the botton of the
layers panel.
And make a black stroke (Edit>Stroke>choice
centre) as bold as you want around the text. |
| |
 |
Make a selection around the first
layer.
Add a fourth layer and place it at the top of the
layers panel.
And make a white stroke (Edit>Stroke>choice
centre) as bold as you want around the text. |
| |
 |
Now we did a selection of of the
text and filled it with a light blue color. We put
this layer in color mode to get a cooler look.
You can add some other brush effects... and its all.
Enjoy ;)
